Welding

Code-quality welds across every alloy and process — executed by certified welders, qualified to procedure, in the shop and out in the field.

Overview

The weld is where quality is proven

Welding is the heart of what Associated Technical Support Services does. For 25 years our certified welders have joined process piping and equipment across Louisiana and Oklahoma's refining and petrochemical facilities — from small-bore instrument tie-ins to large-diameter headers running hot service.

Every joint is made to a qualified Welding Procedure Specification (WPS) and backed by procedure and performance qualification records (PQR/WPQ). That discipline is what lets us stand behind our work through hydro test, NDE, and years of service — and it is why owners keep calling us back for their toughest scopes.

ATS holds both a National Board "R" Stamp and an ASME "S" Stamp, authorizing us to repair and alter pressure vessels and boilers and to fabricate power boilers to code — certifications that put us in a small group of contractors trusted with this level of pressure-retaining work.

We weld in our fabrication shop and in the field, on new construction, plant expansions, maintenance, and turnarounds — matching the process, the schedule, and the code every time.

Capabilities

What we weld

GTAW (TIG)

High-purity root passes and full welds where quality and appearance matter most — stainless, alloys, and thin-wall.

SMAW (Stick)

Reliable field welding on carbon and low-alloy steel, including out-of-position and repair work in tight spaces.

GMAW / FCAW

Productive fill and cap passes for larger-diameter and heavier-wall pipe and structural steel.

Pipe & Tube

Socket and butt welds on process piping — small-bore instrument lines through large-diameter headers.

Tie-Ins & Repairs

Hot-work tie-ins, weld repairs, and modifications executed cleanly around live plant operations.

Alloy & Exotic

Stainless, duplex, chrome-moly, and nickel alloys welded to procedure for demanding service conditions.

Codes & Qualification

Qualified, documented, audit-ready

Our welders work to qualified procedures and carry current certifications. Every weld is traceable — mapped, inspected, and documented so your turnover package holds up to owner and third-party review.
